Prior to practicing law, Thomas served in the Kentucky Air National Guard. Thomas received his Juris Doctorate from University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law in 2016. Since then, he has gained a wealth of experience in the fields of healthcare defense, business litigation, and worker’s compensation.
Thomas finds that the most interesting area of litigation right now is how rapidly evolving technology is used in the discovery process. Using social media to investigate a witness and find contradictions in their testimony was unheard of 20 years ago.
Now it is commonplace. Additionally, the responsible use of artificial intelligence will likely be a deciding factor that separates the attorneys willing to adapt and those that will eventually get left behind.
Thomas feels that the most rewarding part of being an attorney comes from his pro bono work. Being able to provide justice for people who normally would not have access to an attorney is incredibly rewarding. Outside of the office Thomas enjoys traveling with his family, watching UofL sports, running, and golfing.
