Originally from Louisville, Kentucky, Sophie received her law degree from Northern Kentucky University Salmon P. Chase College of Law in 2017 after obtaining her bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Kentucky.
Following law school, Sophie practiced for a firm in Covington, Kentucky where she focused primarily on litigating employment claims. Sophie has successfully represented individuals asserting claims of sex discrimination, sexual harassment, age discrimination, disability discrimination, and retaliation in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Kentucky Civil Rights Act. In addition, Sophie has experience negotiating severance agreements.
After Sophie relocated back to Louisville, she practiced criminal law as a public defender in Jefferson, County, Kentucky where she provided legal services in the largest jurisdiction in the state of Kentucky to indigent adults accused of crimes and status offenses. In addition to practicing law, Sophie enjoys running, cycling on her Peloton, and spending time with her Golden Retriever, Winston.
