As a Louisville native, Megan received her bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Louisville and her J.D. from the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law. Megan also attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law’s summer abroad program, which held law classes in Ireland and Wales. Since 2011 she has defended, tried, and arbitrated cases in Kentucky and Indiana for individuals, businesses, and governmental and quasi-governmental entities.

Prior to joining Dzenitis Newman, Megan practiced for a mid-sized firm and focused primarily on business and commercial litigation, bankruptcy, community association matters, real estate matters, foreclosures, multi-district litigation, family law, and appellate law. In her business and real estate practice, Megan has successfully represented creditors in complex bankruptcy and foreclosure actions and successfully defended individuals and business owners in real estate litigation. In her family law practice, Megan has tried and appealed difficult cases, including successfully appealing a case to the Supreme Court of Kentucky that overturned forty years of Kentucky case precedent. Megan has been honored as a Kentucky Super Lawyer Rising Star from 2017-present.

In addition to practicing law, Megan enjoys volunteering in the community with organizations, such as Blessings in a Backpack, and serving on boards such as the Friends of the Zoo (Louisville) and the Saint Athanasius Booster Club. Megan also dedicates her time to the legal profession by serving as the Vice-Chair of the Kentucky Bar Association Young Lawyers Division and as a member of the National Conferences Team for the American Bar Association Young Lawyers Division.
